D3 Power Rankings

Mbl d3 power rankings week 6
Sup Ballers? It's good to be back as Admin and writing articles for you good folks of MBL!

I want to start of by saying thanks to Ziko for putting this league together and making the wise decision to bring me back as admin. Also a special thanks to Zeeshan for putting up with my trash talk every week.

Lets get back to Basketball,
With only two games left on the season and lots of teams neck and neck in the standings it's coming down to must win games for many of the squads around the league this Sunday. I'm only going to do the top ten teams, so play better if you want something written about your team.

1. It-Tihad
Record: 5-0

This team definitely got challenged for the first time this season, escaping with a 41-33 victory against Desis With Attitude. They are very talented top to bottom and that shows with their ridiculous +158 point differential through 5 games. That wasn't a typo. Not to mention their turnover ratio is +9 PER GAME. They will steal your cookies if you're not careful. Shout out to Sharjeel for that block party I invited him to last week ;)

Next game: Ranun

2. Who's Next
Record: 5-0

Sheraz Kari and Salman Bickiya have been the one-two punch that has led this team to an undefeated record so far this season. The toughest part of their schedule is coming up as they play the two other best teams in the division, Jumpmen and AK Trey. So they desperately need someone else to step up and take some of the scoring load of off Sheraz and Salmans' shoulders.

Next game: Jumpmen

3. AK Trey
Record: 4-1

Probably the most athletic team in D3, these guys are tough to beat for any team. They all share the sugar and spread the wealth. No one on this team averages double digits, but everyone plays a role and that's what really good teams do. Sameer Molvi has been a beast on the boards and look for him to continue to clean up the glass.

Next game: Ballaholics

4. 2nyce
Record: 4-1

Way too nice! Asif Qureshi has been one of the MVP frontrunners all season and that has led 2nyce to a 4-1 record. After winning the D3 championship a couple of seasons ago, I know they're gonna be extremely hungry going into the Playoffs and I wouldn't want to play these guys.

Next game: Jedi Ballers

5. Jumpmen
Record: 4-1

Haseeb has put together an all-star roster and i think he is the best player/General Manager since Jackie Moon did it with the Flint Tropics. Three guys average double digits on the team (Alexis, Ray, and Mostafa) and they'll need to continue to score if they want to make a late playoff run.

Next game: Who's next

6. Naan Stop
Record: 3-2

One thing that jumps out to me is Zeeshan's statistics. The superstar point guard has more turnovers than assists this season. What's up with that Z? Waqas "Waqqy P" Anis has been the guy for them all season and he will look to continue his consistent scoring stretch. I would't be surprised if these guys end up winning it all, but Zeeshan is going to have to stop turning the ball over Lol.

Next game: Netflix and Chai

7. Team Champa
Record: 3-2

After starting off the season 2-0, they have dropped 2 of their last 3. I still believe they can go far in the playoffs but if they don't win at least one of their next two then they won't make the playoffs. This next game against Flyboys is their most important game of the season. My boy Abdulgafur has been getting buckets all season and i'm sure he's not done yet.

Next game: Flyboys

8. Fly boys
Record: 3-2

Another team that has to win one of their last two to make the playoffs. The Aboubaker Bros have been the leaders of this team both scoring in double figures all season. Not a lot of this team's baskets come on assists so they'll need to try and work the ball around more and get easy buckets.

Next game: Team Champa

9. Desis With Attitude
Record: 2-3

We brought the Attitude last game for sure. Neck and Neck with It-Tihad the whole game, we couldn't find a way to get it done in crunchtime. We'll need to continue to play tough defense and rebound the basketball. The last two games are must win games, so you know we'll be bringing it.

Next game: The Crew

10. Netflix and Chai
Record: 2-3

If you showed me this roster in the beginning of the season, I would've said Waqas Khan was the best player on the team but Hamza Shakeel has been their most solid offensive option, not to mention he's a beast on the boards. They have a tough game next week against Naan Stop.
Next game: Naan Stop

11. The Crew
Record: 2-3
Next game: Desis With Attitude

12. Tera Baap
Record: 1-4
Next game: Bless Up

13. Ballaholics
Record: 1-4
Next game: AK Trey

14. Ranun
Record: 1-4
Next game: It-Tihad

15. Jedi Ballers
Record: 0-5
Next game: 2nyce

16. Bless Up
Record: 0-5
Next game: Tera Baap
