D2 Pre-Season Power Rankings

Assalamualaikum and welcome to a new Muslim Basketball League season.  We are less than a week away from the new Winter 2016 season.  I will speak for myself but also all of you and say that I am excited to get going.  This will be my first season in D2 and I am expecting the competition to be very tough as there are many good teams.  I have said it before and I will say it again, Muslim Basketball League is the best league around with very good players.  I remember playing in the first official season when there was one division and about 8-10 teams.  Now there are three divisions with 40 teams, which is tremendous! The league has grown and is continuing to grow at a steady pace.

Anyway, enough of the ra-ra stuff and on to the actual portion that I hope will be read, POWER RANKINGS!  One more thing, I know there are 16 teams but the rankings throughout the season will only include the top 10.  That means you need to play your butts off to get into the top 10 so I can attempt to write about your team!

  1. Regulators – As Warren G and Nate Dogg said, REGULATORS!!!  They are the top dogs with the target on their back.  Can they stay on top the rest of the way?
  2. Past Our Prime – Do not, I repeat, do not let the age fool you; these guys can play.  They are definitely past their prime but could be primed for a deep run.
  3. AK Duex – The defending D2 champs start here as they bid for another run at the title.  Can they go back-to-back?  (I can hear Drake for whatever reason anytime I say back-to-back)
  4. Hidden – The defending D2 runner up (is there such a thing?).  Anyway, do not sleep on these guys, although you might not be able to see them since they are Hidden.
  5. Massaage – The middle of the pack.  They could either shoot up to the top or fall down the pecking order.  I guess you can say that for every team…
  6. AMB – A team that I recognize from the past, AMB!  These guys can ball but will they have enough to challenge for the title?
  7. Lion Order – Number 7 is supposed to have some kind of luck.  These guys will not need it due to their ability to ball up and ROAR!
  8. ICH – As Kobe Bryant prepares to hang it up do not forget his original jersey number 8.  Will ICH move forward and ditch the number 8 like Kobe did?
  9. Bashas – The defending D3 champs!  A lot of ballers and a lot of energy with this young team.  Trust me, I know from personal experience.  Will they have enough to compete?
  10. What A Time – Remember there are six more teams beneath you so it is not too bad of a ranking.  Will they have the time to move up?  We will see…
