MBL is a community organization.  As such, we have a responsibility to help slow the spread of the deadly COVID-19 virus and its variants.  At the least, we have a responsibility to not contribute to its spread.  As such, the League has adopted the following rules.  Every single player, staff, coach, referee, and volunteer must abide by these rules before participating in any MBL event.  Please review these carefully.  Thank you for your cooperation.

1. Individuals must have masks on at all times when not warming up or participating in a game. This includes players and coaches on the bench.

2. Masks must be worn properly and must cover the mouth and nose at all times.

3. Social distancing must be observed. Individuals must maintain a distance of 3 feet when not warming up or playing in a game.

4. All players, staff, referees, and volunteers must produce either (a) proof of full vaccination against COVID-19, including, if eligible, booster shots; or (b) documentation of a positive COVID-19 diagnosis within the last three months, before participating in MBL activities.

  • Full vaccination means individuals must have completed the series of vaccines, as specified by the manufacturer. Currently accepted vaccines are Johnson & Johnson’s which is a single dose series, as well as Pfizer and Moderna which offer a 2-dose series. It is the responsibility of participants to research and obtain the vaccine that best suits their needs and preferences.  In addition, individuals who have had their final dose more than six months ago must produce proof of a booster shot.

5. All players, staff, referees, and volunteers must undergo rapid testing onsite before participating in MBL activities.  Anyone testing positive will not be allowed to participate and must leave the facilities immediately.  MBL will provide the testing services at no charge.

6. Regardless of vaccination or booster status, an individual who experiences symptoms attributable to COVID-19 may not participate in MBL until that individual produces documentation of a negative PCR COVID-19 test.

  • If symptoms develop after a test is obtained for the week’s game, a new negative test will be required.

7. An individual who tests positive for COVID-19 during the season must notify MBL immediately, and may not return to MBL activities until they have completed the self-isolation period per CDC guidelines and obtained a note from their medical provider clearing them for return.

8. An individual who has come in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 must notify MBL immediately and produce documentation of a negative PCR COVID-19 test obtained within 3 days of returning to MBL activities.
